Help/Getting started/Connect Intervals.icu to Ridium

Connect Intervals.icu to Ridium

Link your Intervals.icu account with OAuth and understand exactly what data Ridium reads and writes.

Connect your account

Ridium connects to Intervals.icu with OAuth β€” you approve the connection on Intervals.icu itself and never paste an API key.

01

Create your Ridium account (or sign in) and open the dashboard.

02

Click Connect Intervals.icu when prompted, or go to Account β†’ Integrations.

03

Approve the request on the Intervals.icu authorization page.

04

Back in Ridium, your first sync starts automatically. Within a minute your profile, fitness state, and recent activities appear.

What Ridium can and cannot do

The connection asks for four permissions: read your activities, read your wellness data, read your settings (FTP, zones), and write to your calendar. Calendar write access is what lets the coach create workouts you approve. Ridium never modifies your activities or wellness data, and it never posts anything to Intervals.icu without an explicit confirmation from you.

One athlete, one account

An Intervals.icu athlete can be linked to exactly one Ridium account. If you try to connect an athlete that is already linked elsewhere, the connection is rejected β€” disconnect it from the other Ridium account first.

When it doesn't work

Troubleshooting

The connect button sends me to Intervals.icu but I end up back without a connection.

Why it happens: The authorization was cancelled or the Intervals.icu session expired mid-flow.

How to fix it: Sign in to intervals.icu in the same browser first, then start the connection again from Account β†’ Integrations.

Ridium shows "Fix credentials" on the sync indicator.

Why it happens: The OAuth token could not be refreshed β€” usually because access was revoked on Intervals.icu.

How to fix it: Disconnect in Account β†’ Integrations and connect again. Your Ridium data is kept; the next sync fills any gap.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a paid Intervals.icu account?
No. The free Intervals.icu tier includes everything Ridium reads and writes.
Can I connect with an API key instead of OAuth?
No β€” new connections are OAuth only. It is safer and lets you revoke access from Intervals.icu at any time.
