Help/Getting started/Define your goals with the guided interview

Define your goals with the guided interview

Run the goals interview so the coach knows your target events and preferences, and edit the result later.

How the interview works

The goals conversation is a short guided interview. The coach asks about your target events, dates, and how you like to train, then proposes a set of objectives for you to confirm.

01

Start the goals conversation when prompted after signup, or from the dashboard.

02

Name your main event β€” if it's a public event, the coach can find it in the Ridium event directory and pin the exact date and route.

03

Review the proposed objectives (one A-priority goal, plus secondary ones).

04

Confirm. Your objectives are saved and the race dates land on your calendar.

What confirming actually saves

Confirming writes your objectives and key preferences to the coach's long-term memory and creates the race entries on your calendar. From then on, every conversation and every plan proposal takes your goals into account.

Change goals later

Goals aren't locked in. Review and edit them under Account β†’ Objectives, or just tell the coach things changed β€” a new date, a cancelled race β€” and it will propose the update.

When it doesn't work

Troubleshooting

My event isn't found in the directory.

Why it happens: The Ridium event directory is curated and doesn't cover every race yet.

How to fix it: Give the coach the name and date manually β€” a goal doesn't need a directory entry. You can also suggest the event to support so it gets added.

Frequently asked questions

Can I skip the interview and set goals later?
Yes. You can chat without goals; the coach just personalizes less. Start the goals conversation whenever you're ready.
Can I have more than one A race?
The interview centers your season on one A-priority objective, with the rest as supporting goals β€” that's what makes periodization coherent.
