The Claude/ChatGPT connector isn't working

The three failure modes that cover nearly every case: tier access, authorization state, and stale proposals.

No tools, or every call fails (403)

The connector requires a Pro account and checks on every request β€” a Free account or a lapsed subscription can't even list the tools. Check Account β†’ Billing first; after upgrading, reconnect from the assistant.

Authorization loops or expired sessions

A clean re-add resolves most auth weirdness β€” the consent flow issues a fresh grant.

01

Remove the Ridium connector from the assistant (claude.ai, ChatGPT, or Claude Desktop settings).

02

Add it again with the URL from Account β†’ Integrations.

03

Complete the Ridium consent screen when it opens.

04

Test with a simple request: "what's my current training load?"

Proposals failing to confirm

Two distinct cases. Expired: proposals live 24 hours; ask for a fresh one. Stale: your calendar changed underneath the proposal (a workout moved, completed, or deleted) β€” this is a safety stop, and the assistant needs to propose again from current state. Neither is retryable by re-clicking confirm.

Slow or throttled responses

Reads are limited to 60/min and writes to 10/min per account. Normal conversation never hits this; scripted loops can. If the assistant reports rate-limiting, let it cool down for a minute.

When it doesn't work

Troubleshooting

It worked yesterday and today every call fails.

Why it happens: Usually the subscription lapsed (tier check runs on every request) or the OAuth grant was revoked.

How to fix it: Confirm Pro is active under Account β†’ Billing, then re-add the connector. If both look right, contact support with the assistant and the approximate time.

Frequently asked questions

Claude says a tool call failed with a validation error on my workouts.
Known rough edge in some hosts when proposing workouts; asking the assistant to try again usually succeeds. If it's reproducible, tell support which host and prompt caused it.
